Planting Adenium Seedlings

From 1 - 6 months:

  • Water 15-20 days/time for plants by the mixtures of 10-15grams NPK 20-20-15 + TE or NPK 16-12-8 + TE with 10-15 litres of water.
  • Periodically (7-10 days) spray a 3-20-20 fertilizer that contains 3% nitrogen, 20% phosphorus and 20% potassium encourages roots to grow strong and healthy.

From 6 months to 1 year:

  • Water 20-30 days/time for plants by the mixtures of 20-30grams NPK 20-20-15 + TE or NPK 16-12-8 + TE.
  • Periodically (7-8 days) spray Fertilizer with more Phosphorus(NPK 15-30-15) to stimulate and enhance bud development and set, seed formation and blooming.

Above 1 year with stable flowers:

  • Use 20-30 grams NPK 20-20-15 + TE hoặc NPK 16-12-8 + TE for plants(20-30 days/time).
  • Combine with fertilizer that helps maintaining flowers and boosting new bud, flowers.

Best conditions to grow adenium

  • Full sunlight and a temperature of 21-26 Celsius degrees
  • Should be repotted every year or two. The new pot should be 2.5 to 5 centimeters larger than the previous one.
  • In winter, the pot should be moved indoor.
  • It is very important not to keep the soil soggy.
  • Good drainage is essential. A good mix is 1 to 2 parts pumice or perlite to 1 part potting mix (humus).
  • Some plants branch naturally at a small size, others try to become trees. You can induce branching simply by cutting off the top of a stem at any height. The best time is early summer when new growth will be vigorous.
